Kacey Ling Fung and Michael Robert Harburn grew up in Flint, Michigan; they can safely say that they have known each other most of their lives! Mike was great friends with Kacey's brother, Lou and was often found hanging out at her childhood home.
Mike's first memory of Kacey was meeting her when he joined a 3rd grade bowling team with her brother, Lou. He remembers Kacey chasing him around the bowling alley and being slightly annoyed by her because girls had "cooties" at that age.

Mike proposed on New Years Day 2023. Since they went to Kauai for Christmas, they choose to wait to open Christmas gifts until they arrived back home. After they opened all the gifts on New Years morning, Mike said he had one last gift and Kacey would have to find it hanging on the tree. Kacey assumed it was an ornament and kept searching the tree, but could not find it until she saw a shiny ring on a string hanging on the tree. She was so shocked at first that she didn’t even know what it was and then Mike popped the question. Mike told her he was planning to propose while in Kauai on the beach on their last night there, but that didn't work out. Kacey never left his side for him to make plans. He even pretended to leave car keys back in our hotel room, but she just followed him back and therefore it didn't happen. The Christmas tree proposal at home was meant to be and kicked off their wedding planning.

Mike and Kacey could not be more thrilled to be within one year of their wedding date. Kacey said, "We are very excited to have family and friends join us on this special day and hope everyone can make it. We hope that all have a great evening and celebrate this special event with us. Eat, drink and enjoy the music! Mike said, "This has been a long time coming! We have made it through 2 years being in a long-distance relationship, survived COVID together, along with making major moves together - ultimately moving to Seattle. During this time there have been ups and downs (many more ups) and have been able to laugh and keep smiling while enjoying our life together. This is the next major step together we are taking to spend the rest of our lives together. We are looking forward to celebrating our big deal with our friends and family and hope everyone can make it!"
